Exercise and getting older
I've been doing pretty well getting to the gym lately, and I need to keep it up. Yesterday I went to step aerobics at the gym at the University where Stephan teaches, and today I went to pilates. Most of the other people in the classes are or appear to be college students, so I feel just a wee bit old in comparison, but that's ok.I remarked to Stephan last night that I was pretty proud of myself for catching onto the moves quickly and keeping up with the instructor better than several of the young women around me. But then I reminded myself that I'd been doing step aerobics off and on since about the time some of them were probably born."You're not that old," Stephan said, incredulous.I proceeded to do the math."You are that old." He replied.Age has its benefits.
